Major label groups dedicated to sharing music from the past and present
Hi,
If anybody here uses Facebook (basically who doesn't today, unless they are under 13 years old!), I have got some groups dedicated to well respected major labels that have been responsible for producing pop and rock music from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and beyond. I would love you all to share stuff from your old vinyl collections to these groups:

I will be setting up groups for records released on MCA, President, Carrere, Jive, Pye, Stiff, Uni, United Artists, Liberty, Magnet, Columbia (the EMI subsidiary, not the Sony Music flagship label), CBS, and Chrysalis in due course.
They are not for unsigned musicians to spam with their music. Besides, I believe that upcoming musicians shouldn't flog their material to record labels. If the labels know that there is a market going for the music you are making then they will be after you. As one A&R from Virgin Records in Australia told me "It's not so much what you know or who you know, it's who knows you that counts". :-)
