The aforementioned Paul McCartney track "Wonderful Christmastime", along with 1989's "Band Aid II" effort are my least favourite Christmas tracks. I also find "Christmas Wrapping" by The Waitresses to be somewhat annoying. Oh, and "Millenium Prayer" by Sir Cliff.
The 00's were pretty horrendous. 2003 had some especially torrid offerings including "Christmas Is All Around" - Bill Nighy, "Proper Chrimbo" - Bo Selecta and "Have A Cheeky Christmas" - Cheeky Girls to name just three (Sir Cliff was also in amongst it with one of his most forgettable hits "Santa's List - I've already picked on him though). Then of course it became all about "X-Factor" ...
For those who don't like Wham's Last Christmas, sorry but I love it. Although I don't really like the instrumental by State of the Heart which appears on some Christmas compilations, its just not the same.
sigpic Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.
