    It was my birthday on Saturday. When I was born, the #1 UK single was Telstar by The Tornados (I mentioned this before). This time, on the day, it was “rockstar” (all in lower-case, apparently!) by Post Malone...

    Here's your song. It was Number One in the US in August 1952. I couldn't find any info for the UK going that far back (the earliest I could find is 1953) but assume it was Number One there too.
