I wonder if any republicans or anti-monarchists has recently asked a radio station to play any of its songs.

The Sex Pistols obviously comes to mind here - they did make a reappearance in the charts this year due to the Platinum Jubilee...

I was wondering whether there will be any tribute song made to her late Majesty in a similar way to how Sir Elton's Candle in the Wind was to Diana Princess of Wales' funeral 25 years ago? I would pop down to my local HMV or order it online if there was.

Well, some 1970s group actually called themselves "Queen"...

Just heard Sir Elton's Candle in the Wind on Gold this evening which I thought was ironic considering the circumstances of being the eve of the state funeral.
