Recently revisted due the Life on Mars tv prog but Bowies Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars was a musical mile stone in pop. Although in saying that it all stems from the Velvet Underground who's influence on modern pop music can never be underestimated. check the VU and Nico album
      The eyes have it!

OK so avoiding all the classic albums we've been banned from I have plumped for two obscure ones.

The first is a local group who had minor success
Cookin' on the roof by Roman Holiday

The second an album / film soundtrack with the label "The saddest song in the world" often attached.

            Slade/Smashes my favourite track Everyday.
Also dare I say it in public Once upon a star/Bay City Rollers
When something upsets me I spin the vinyl

You might remember the song more than the group "Broken land"

YouTube - The Adventures - Broken Land

By an Oirish group called the Adventures. It is from a fantastic album called "Sea of love" it is brilliant.

These will be known by members of a certain age but probably not classic to most................

The Moody Blues - Every Good Boy Deserves Favour

Supertramp - Crime Of The Century

Both albums I grew up with and they got me through my angst-ridden teenage years and I still regularly play them today!

I have, but don't go for all the serious stuff.
Prefer the 80's Positive Punk stuff like Sex Gang Children, Bauhaus, Sisters, Birthday Party, Etc.

Big hair and black clothes, not fools who believe in Vampires
