    10cc - Deceptive Bends (1977)
    Foreigner - 4 (1981)

I'll see if I can think of anymore in my collection.

Who remembers Jimmy the Hoover's 'Tantalise'?

The best thing I had when I was a nipper was 20 Power Hits, a K-Tel compilation.
It was given to me by my mum's boss because she was sick of hearing her daughter playing it. Now that sounds mean, doesn't it? Considering how her daughter was a nasty little spoiled only child and quite a bully, I felt I deserved it. The next time I saw her, she pushed me, fully clothed into their swimming pool. She's a lawyer now.

The track listing went like this:
          Side One: Crocodile Rock - Elton John/ Alright Alright Alright - Mungo Jerry/ Bad Bad Boy - Nazareth/ Hypnosis - Mud/ Join Together - The Who/ The Band Played The Boogie - CCS/ The Free Electric Band - Albert Hammond/ I've Been Hurt - Guy Darrell/ I've Been Drinking - The Jeff Beck Group featuring Rod Stewart/ I'm Doin' Fine Now - New York City;
Side Two: Can the Can - Suzi Quatro/ Cindy Incidentally - The Faces/ Frankenstein - Edgar Winter/ Alright Now - Free/ Brother Louie - Hot Chocolate/ I'm Gonna Love You Just A Little More Baby - Barry White/ Giving It All Away - Roger Daltrey/ Yesterday Once More - The Carpenters/ Gaye - Clifford T. Ward/ Rocket Man - Elton John.

Now if that ain't worth getting a fully clothed ducking at a posh garden party for, I don't know what is.

It never gets much of a mention because it was dwarfed by its predecessor "Searching for the young soul rebels" but I thought Dexy's Midnight Runners follow up "Too-Rye-Aye" was wonderful and very soulfull.

                Bumpitty!

                Aztec Camera - Frestonia

Totally failed to sell after WEA didn't promote it, and was the reason Roddy Frame dropped the name and carried on solo.
WEA only released one single from it, but any track could have gone Top Ten IMHO (If the charts were not so full of garbage by then)

I'm a huge fan of AC, and even I was guilty of not even bothering with it

My loss.. I think its one of the best albums they made.

Orange Juice - "You Can't Hide Your Love Forever"

                  and

                  Prefab Sprout - "Swoon"

Both of these are real "growers', the more you listen the more you love them. Always get me wallowing in a warm fuzzy nostalgiafest. Especially like the unashamedly sweet and stilted lyrics, find them really touching. OJ in particular have antiquated parlance down to a fine art!

Next up.. lost in the aftermath of a massive selling timeless debut album...

ABC! The second album Beauty Stab, was a cracker IMHO. Still gets an airing regularly in this house.

They rocked up the sound a fair bit, so it was a shock for the Lexicon of Love fans, but its still a brilliant album
