  • REQUEST] Help Identifying Late 90s Female-Led Pop Song

    Hello everyone,

I'm hoping someone here can help me identify a song that’s been stuck in my memory for years. Despite several searches, I haven’t been able to find it, and I’d truly appreciate any leads.

Here’s everything I remember about it:

Timeframe: I heard it on the radio in Portugal in the late 1990s, possibly around 1997–1999.

Vocalist: A female singer—the voice was emotional, melodic, and clear. Definitely solo and not part of a duet.

Style/Genre: It had a dreamy acoustic pop feel. The mood was similar to the song "Caught in Our Thoughts" by CMA.

    Instruments:

A fast-paced acoustic or classical guitar rhythm was central.

There were light percussion elements, some keyboards/synths, and possibly a xylophone or glockenspiel that added a shimmering, atmospheric touch.

Lyrics (fragment): The most vivid line I remember was a repeated phrase along the lines of:
    “Fire, fire, fi-re, fire…”
This part had a slightly echoing or layered vocal effect—possibly in the chorus.

Title/Band Guess: The song title could have been something like “Fire”, “Firebird”, “Firebrand”, or “Phoenix”. It’s also possible that one of these was the band or project name instead.

Exposure: I only heard it once or twice on the radio, so I assume it may have been underground or indie, possibly from a short-lived project or a rare release.

I've searched lyric databases and music libraries without success. If any of this rings a bell—even partially—I’d be so grateful for your help in identifying the artist, track, or album.

    Thank you for your time!

    “Teardrop” by Massive Attack?

Female led, acoustic guitar, dreamy and acoustic…

Lyrics contain the word “fire”, but not as much as you remember.

      Thanks for the reply.
I have teardrop by massive attack.
Beautiful song, but it's not the one I'm looking for.
This one is faster in rhythm.
Sounds more like in the genre of soft rock with some pop, and electronic in the mix.
Kinda like One and One by Robert Miles.
      Same year, similar genre.

Maybe this? Air, All I Need

I know it doesn't say Fire, so maybe not.
