This was one in very early seventies and it used to pop up on various 'Gang Show' style entertainment programmes around this time of year.
Usually sung by like Tony Bennet or John Hanley or whichever celeb of the day could be made to appear
It was called "Sing of a Star" and it was borderland between a pop song and a hymn
Really got on my nerves for three/four Xmases in a row but then the Wizzard/Slade/Mud ones began to take over and it faded away into obscurity. Nobody seems to have heard of it nowadays
The few remebered lyrics in my head are....
"Sing of a star, sing of a bright trembling star, sing of the shepherd's amazed, sing of the glory that blazed, sing Hallelulah"
Later there are lines like "Thank you so much, thank you so bright trembling much etc etc"
I been on Google and no reference anywhere (bet there is when I post this lol)
