Please help find another song... easier?

I know this is a long shot, but this song is well known.
I just don't remember any of the lyrics, but it goes like...

The male sings most of the song... then in the Chorus, he says something, and a female voice says a couple of words, then he says something else. Then both go Uh uh uh.

It's one of them type of songs of the late 80's, early 90's.
Similar to Lessons in Love, and You're the best thing... that type of song.

It's a ballad, not a slow ballad, but a little faster in Rhythm.
I think the song is about love, although I have a few doubts.

Is this to difficult, or anyone has any ideas?

I know more details are needed, but this is all I have.

Thanks Syxtyten, it does sound like Jimmy Nail, but that's not the song.
I have looked on youtube for all the songs available in there by Jimmy, but can't find that one.

It may well be him, but not sure.

What else do you have for me?

Just for laughs:-
After she sings 'I'm trying' does the bloke sing 'very' :-) :-) ?

Sorry about that but it just reminded me for a moment of when I was little. I often used to say 'I'm trying' and dad or mum would say 'very!'

On a different note, I too thought it might be Jimmy Nail and you've said it's not so I'll just keep wracking my brains for you. Will let you know if I have a light bulb moment. :-)

I have been trying all day to remember some more lyrics, and this is what I came up with.

I'm guessing the chorus is this...

He says: I think I'm in love
She says: So show it.
He says something else.
Both: hu hu hu

Or something like that... I'll type more as I remember

Jimmy Nail's 'ain't no doubt' was the first song that came into my head too when I read your 1st post op. Now when I've read the rest, it doesn't seem likely.

Thanks for the reply Fatboy, but that's not it.

The singer I'm looking for is the likes of Brian ferry, David Bowe sort of singer... who I think uses his name, rather than a band's name.
But I could be wrong about the name thing.

The song sounds like 80's pop.

His voice has a low pitch and it's quite smooth, not harsh, but not as low as tears for fears singer or Rick astley.

The woman does not sing a lot in the specific song i'm looking for, only says those couple of words,
and then the "Hu huuuuuu hu" bit.

Hopefully this new bit of information will be helpfull.

Nope, that's not it either...
Seems I'm never going to find this and the other song I'm looking for.
Both songs from the eighties... aghr... and to think I had them both on tape 10 years ago, but then it broke.

If only I had the names, just the name of song and artist.
What gets me more is that I don't remember the lyrics.

For some reason the first song that came to me was LUCKY STARS by Dean Friedman..only it doesn't contain the lyrics u mentioned.Those lyrics of yours do ring a bell,though i cannot rememeber the song.
