Marbles, water and a wet carpet

I hope someone else remembers this game as I am beginning to think I made it up!

I remember a game from the early 80s which had water and marbles which ran down small pipes and channels. You used to fill the top with water and place a marble at a strategic point. When it was released (for some reason which escapes me) the water and marble ran down to the bottom via various interesting means. I can't remember what the objective was, I just remember that my mum made me get rid of it because it used to soak the carpet through every time you played it. I have the impression that it was called 'Chain Reaction', but as I can't find any evidence of it, that's probably wrong.

Please someone help, and restore my sanity in time for Christmas!

Don't think that's it, but it looks like it's along similar lines. From what I remember, actually constructing the thing wasn't part off the game, although I think you used to move up the tower with a plastic game piece which could be washed back to the bottom. Granted, I could have dreamed that as well!

The box mentions "water game" and here's is the write up from Kays Catalogue 1982..

hard to read, but mentions Marbles & Chain reaction
