    Re: Sega megadrives!!

I've still got my Mega Drive - apart from the Sonic games, my favourites included the Earthworm Jim games, Toe Jam and Earl in Panic on Funkatron and Ristar - but I wish I still had Ren & Stimpy, Beavis & Butt-head, Sparkster and Wrestlemania:The Arcade Game.

Quicker? Quicker to boot up games, certainly. Not sure if you could actually compare the speed of games, though.

True, but i was comparing it to the speccies of the day.
I much prefer playstation one to PS2. As I have never experienced PS3 yet, I couldn't comment although I have seen articles about how good it is.

Does anyone else remember Cool Spot on the Sega?
He was a red spot, with sunglasses, and was the spot from the 7-up logo. One of the levels was him in a 7-up bottle and you had to escape?

I loved it as a kid, infact the game could have been called something else, but thats how I remember it!

                Thanks Huggie!

It was a great game - even if it was a bit childish!

I never owned a mega drive as I was always an atari / nintendo kid.

I do now play the mega drive games on my Wii and a few on a PC emulator. Always loved Golden Axe myself.

I bought the playstation 2 games that has the sega mega drive games on it. I still prefer playing them on the original platform though.

                            yeh Alex Kidd.
a few years ago (about 7 actually). I went into a shop in plymouth to see if they had any spares for the master system, he showed me to a counter in the back of the shop where he had about 60 all piled ontop of each other - he told me he could not sell me any because they were out of date?????

I bought a Mega Drive from Currys in Leicester in 1992 IIRC....mainly cos I saw Desert Strike being demo'd on it.....later bought Jungle Strike...great games

Sonic was good too back then...also EA Hockey was fab.

Someone bought me Dark Castle for it...100% the worst game I've EVER played
