Re: Action Girl
I had a dark-haired Action Girl, but I still haven't found her yet (I'm currently clearing dad's house after he sadly passed away just before Christmas - it's where I grew up, so all my old toys were still there, through they're home with me now ). She doesn't seem to be with my other dolls, though I need to have a better look when I get more time to sit down and play LOL! However I HAVE found her horse, complete with bridle, saddle etc.. I remember being frustrated at the time that Action Girl couldn't actually sit on her horse - she didn't have the right hip action!

Re: Action Girl
Thankyou Darren, very kind of you, and much appreciated.
I'm sure Action Girl will be in pretty good condition; I always looked after my toys. I persuaded mum to buy her for me from Lewis's in Blackpool (how long has that been gone?!!) after one of my school friends brought hers to school on the last day of term. We were always allowed to bring our toys in on the last day of term in those days; it would've been about 1973 by my reckoning, so I'd have been eight years old. I was thrilled to have a doll whose legs would bend!
I too hope I find her.
I've found my old Pippa dolls (also made by Palitoy), and their American equivalent, the Dawn dolls, and two Sindy's (although curiously, I don't remember ever having a blonde one, as I always liked dark hair better), and also, all four of the Miss Matchbox Disco Girls - Dee, Domino, Britt and Tia. Again, they're all in good condition, apart from a touch of "green knee," apparently caused by the copper used in the knee joints (remind me to use a different surgeon when I need a knee replacement lol!
