Does anyone remember a "Mecchano-like" toy (I'm fairly sure it wasn't their brand) that was around in the late-80's?
It was similar to regular Mecchano in that it had plates with holes in and little rivets that held your creations together. Unlike typical Mecchano the pieces were all plastic and I think the pieces were predominantly blue white and orangey-red. The set came with a sort of plastic "drill" or "riveter" that put all the little rivets in place. I reckon it was some sort of ratchet mechanism rather than powered.
It might even have been Mecchano but I really don't think it was. IIRC the box had a sort of light blue grid graphic over white and a sort of "octagonal" font for the logo with gradual shading (tho I'm sketchy on that one). Imagine a font somewhat in shape like bigfoot (http://www.tamaquaarea.com/SiteImages/bigfoot%20logo%20450x111.gif) and/or Zoids ( http://homepage.hispeed.ch/bm-grfx/zoids/). Basically big bold uppercase letters.
