I know it's silly but I'm so Glad we found him,I just hope the lady is as good as her word and sends him, or I'll be fighting you for yours, Sounds like he's in fantastic condition, nothing about a shakey voice box!!
I guess these monkeys are not quite "as rare as Smurf teeth" after all.
have searched, but to no avail..
I could easily find out, as a friend still has a copy, but can't be assed to ring her
It was a slim paperback I got in infant school (so 1973-76).
from those book club that schools used to have..must have cost about 20p.(probably less)
it was spooky tricks or ghostly tricks, something like that.. had a black cover with a ghoul (white blanket type) on the front.
It showed you various "ghostly" tricks and illusions to perform.
As I say,I know someone with a copy, but I'd love to have my own copy
I can recall two of the tricks..one involved a sugar cube, which you wrota an 'S' on and then thru slight of hand transfered it to the palm of the person you were fooling.another involved a version of the 'sawing the lady in two' but with a blanket and some boots for the legs.
very old..very sad, but i'd love to get a copy.
was talking with my mum the other day and she still has her 1948 copy of "Heidi"
