Can anyone tell me where I can find one of these retro toys in stock? My husband's 40 next month and I'd love to get him one! Can't seem to find one in stock anywhere so any help is appreciated

Ebay is best bet for the real one, They did reissue a new version a few years ago, but by all accounts it was pants

I thought the new release was pretty much the same as the original?

I always wanted one of these, my cousin had the rocket bike, chopper and big truck, I was sooo jealous.

Got my hubby one at Xmas from Hawkins Bazaar. He reckons it's just as rubbish as the original! Hasn't stopped him playing with it tho. I can't remember it being so noisy but maybe it's time has dulled the memory.

Yeah hubby says it makes the same noise but thinking about it we only ever got to play with this outside (lad next door had one). Unlike now when hubs refuses to take his into the garden, prefering instead to take over the dining room.

But I don't remember them having the eight-page comic inside.
In fact, the pictures of the Spiderman box on the net from 74, show the comic advertised on the front of the box, which is not on mine, so I must have had the cheapo English market versions
