  • Anyone got a name for this??

    From another thread.

I got this on my 10th Birthday, it was a male figure, with articulated arms, legs and head. he's wearing a blue crash helmet, and in the centre of this body is a gyro wheel, which you ran on the ground till he built up speed, then you placed him down and he shot off, (like Evel Knievel without the jumps)

I need to know the name!

      The quest will continue tomorrow

The closest thing I've found so far is being sold in america  BUT its made by Playskool IN THE 70'S and is being sold as a "FLYING "underdog" FIGURE" ... The seach continues

p.s Sixty a lot of these Gyro Wheel cars/figures seem to be have been launched with a rip cord does that sound right?

I think the seller on that auction is wrong.
Mine came without any ripcord, it had to be revved by pushing the wheel on the floor. Also the pictures show there is no hole for the ripcord anyway..Its almost the same, jus different character

Brilliant, he did say he'd no longer got the ripcord ..we now know its because it never had one. He's probably assuming it did like the stockcar smash up/revrod type cars! You know better

If they are saying its called Flying underdogs, I assume mine is a pilot or as JB said, Human Cannonball
