Didn't know he died. My Mum always referred to him as 'Trampas'...I know The Simpson's lampooned him a lot with 'Troy McClure - who you may know from...' I remember him well from all the Amicus fantasy films like Warlords of Atlantis (had a great promotional poster, film was the total opposite lol) and did like 'The Land That Time Forgot', its sequel was a bit naff, the whole point was his mate - incidentally played by Patrick - son of John, 'THE DUKE' Wayne' no less - was to find and save him, and he promptly karks it at films end...which was naff given the characters suffering inbetween film one and two...naff.

I recently saw one of The Fall Guy episodes with him in it, even had Roy Rogers and The Virginian bloke as well....I did feel like vomiting when Roy sang his curdling song in it....bleurgh...I'd rather of had a stroke...lol

Doug McClure was joked about a couple of times in Red Dwarf, mostly for being in a lot of low-budget films.

I'm not sure if I've seen anything with him in.
