I was too young to remember it but wasn't Pauline Quirk also in Angels?

One Victoria Wood sketch had a joke about Angels, a Nurse being interviewed mentioned that the show was her insperation to go into nursing, but she thought she would only need to do 2 30 minute shifts a week.

and yes, Quirk does appear on the cast list.

Remember that lovely Shirley Cheriton?

Yes, I certainly remember Shirley, and looking at the cast list there seem to be quite a lot of actresses that have become more famous since. Lesley Dunlop, Julie Dawn Cole, Fiona Fullerton and Angela Bruce for example. And Katherine Apanowics I think of now as the partner of the late Richard Whitely. She actually appeared on Countdown a couple of times.
