It's a shame that after "The Young Ones" it seems as if all four of the cast never appeared on the same show together even though Nigel Planer was in "Filthy Rich and Catflap" and Christopher Ryan had a recurring role in "Bottom." Personally, I think Nigel Planer would have made an excellent Spudgun.

I was too young to see Dad's Army first time round, but really got into it when it was repeated almost constantly from 1989 to 1995.

I liked Terry Scott in Terry and June, especially the one where he produced 'The King and I'. Practically the entire cast of Dad's Army, and Windsor Davis in 'It ain't half hot mum!'

Dad's Army is timeless. We watched a repeat last Saturday and my 7 year old son and 9 year daughter belly laughed louder than they would at anything they'd watch on kids TV.
