Harry Enfield's spoof of this was great.

Dave Nice plugging Depford Draylons with static sparks everwhere.

The original is so hilarious, that it doesn't need to be spoofed!!

lol, I remember seeing Harry Enfield do this, but I never saw the original.

I only knew Brentford Nylons as an ad hoarding at Stamford Bridge on Match of the Day.

My mother bought a load of bedding from them. Mail order if I remember. Slept and crackled in them for years. Not 'Arf.

We had a Brentford Nylons shop in Fairfax St in Bristol...you used to get a static shock every time you walked past it

Since my earlier postings I found there was a shop in Manchester at the edge of Piccadilly Gardens & Portland Street.

There's not a lot about the brand online for some reason!

The Nottingham Brentford Nylons shop was in the Broad Marsh Shopping Centre (near to the Bus Station) and has since been demolished and redeveloped in recent years. I am certain that it was there well into the 1990s. They sold sheets that gave you snap, crackle and pop without even having breakfast in bed!

Alan Feeeman (sporting his Wogan-esque hair) appeared in those adverts which were before my time - I know that YouTube has a 1975 advert in a Thames ad break sandwiched between the end of Coronation Street and the start of Man About the House. Amazing how 1970s and 1980s adverts were so parodiable - unlike adverts from the 21st century.
I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
                    I'm having so much fun

                    Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!
