  • Mousse TV ad with talking moose and mouse. Anyone?

Can anyone identify a British TV ad, probably 90s, for a mousse dessert (choc?) that featured auditions of animals trying to say 'mousse'? There was a mouse that spoke high-pitched, and a moose with a very deep voice. Definitely didn't imagine it, as my sister and I used to replicate the parts for years after.

Can't find it on YT, so wondered if anyone knew. Cheers.

    Birds Eye Supermousse, was it?

It rings a vague bell for me too - could it be for Bird's or some company like that? That's Bird's and not Bird's Eye. The Sweet Trolley adverts from the mid 1980s really look so inviting that I would say yes to any of them as a desert!

As recently as a few years ago, Asda's own brand of chocolate mousse had a picture of a moose on the packaging - it made me think that either someone in marketing is a bit stupid and cannot tell the difference between the homophones of the two words, or someone is being a bit too ironic. It's like a supermarket selling bay leaves with a picture of a bailiff on the packaging. To be honest, I would more likely confuse the word mousse with "mouse" rather than "moose".

Bingo! That's def it - thanks for confirming I didn't Mandela it

Also, apologies to everyone else, but I had exactly zero notifications about the other replies, so cheers for the punts. I'll be back with another lost ad request soon

That's hilariously bad -or a genius non-sequitur. Hasn't Compare the Meerkat based its entire identity on such an association?

Yes, market and meerkat. So irritating it almost hurts.
