    Re: 80s Horrors

    last night i watched

    Happy Birthday to Me (1981)

what a load of cr*p, the deaths were lame, the characters were forgettable, and the story made no sense.

another quite good one is piranha 2.

the piranhas are a mix of different fish that have been cross breeded.
      they can actually fly.

        lol that sounds pretty silly

        last night i watched

Rock 'N' Roll Nightmare (1987) (aka The Edge of Hell)

oh my god this movie sucked, the effects (for the most part) were totally laughable, then the guy's fight with Satan at the end was so bad. Satan was throwing these starfish things at him and you could clearly see he was catching them and putting them against his chest to make it look like they were sucking on him lol.

not to mention the guy's attire was just hilariously bad

watched Wes Craven's 'Shocker' (1989) last night, not too bad this one, way better than the last couple of duds i watched anyway lol.

expected nothing less from Wes Craven.

Managed to see a little film from the very early 80's the other night.Monster,Humanoids from the deep.An interesting creature feature with an ending that Alien would be proud of.

Both awesome gory sci fi/horror movies, gotta love those crazy Italians.
I have both on pre cert, and a (cut) double bill on VTC of Alien Terror & Nightmare City.

Another classic, and the scene where the pimp dude says "SMASH EVERYTHING" is surely one of the greatest ever filmed.
Demons & Demons 2 are available in a swanky looking limited edition steelbook on bluray.

Salem's Lot (1979 but I watched it in the early 80s). Just a wonderful horror TV Movie broadcast over two parts.

Maybe the scariest horror I saw was Amityville II. The scenes in the basement stayed with me for years.

                            Yeah, i've seen it.
Not too bad I suppose, a few decent moments from what I remember.
There was a bit of an early 80s werewolf movie revival.
My fave from that period is without doubt An American Werewolf In London. Love that film !

DEFINITELY Return of the Living Dead 1 and 2 and Creepshow. Favorite 80s horror movies, EVER. I absolutely HATE Poltergeist though... it's so over-hyped, and so lame...
