  • Euro Film Name?

I remember a scene from a film, shown late at night in the 1990s. It may have been French, shown on bbc2 or channel 4 after midnight.

The film ends with a man riding a motorbike at high speed down a road, he collides with a prisoner transport van. He is thrown into the middle of the road. A guard gets out the truck to help. The scene is filmed from a aerial perspective and there is a iconic building in the background, possibly the Arc De Triomph in Paris. There are lines of trees running up both sides of the road shrouded in mist/fog. The credits roll over the scene.

Please, can someone indentify this film.

You're not thinking of The Girl on a Motorcycle, are you?

A long shot: The end of Electra Glide In Blue.

It was shown late at night on BBC2, 15 May 1988 as part of Alec Cox's Moviedrome series.

It isn't quite as you describe, no trees, and nobody gets out of the van.

Thanks. But, its not Electra Glide in Blue which is a great movie.

Not sure about Girl on a Motorcycle. I will have to check it out.

Any chance it was DIVA.? I remember the dude in that had a motorbike and his bootleg tape got switched with some gangsters' merchandise - can't remember how - maybe the switch happened during the collision you describe? I'm only taking a wild guess, many years since I saw that film.

Sorry, I'm a dope - just noticed that the scene you described is apparently the close of the movie, so my theory is rubbish.
