As for the Jim Carrey idea, I hope he is nowhere near this A-Team remake....hopefully he'll be wanted for another Ace Ventura!

A couple more movies apparently in the pipeline to add to the list:

    Thundercats
    Bill and Ted (Currently untitled)
    Alien (Prequel)
    Flight of the Navigator
    Masters of The Universe
    Nightmare on Elm Street
    Coming to America

I know this one isn't 1980's but I read a rumour that a studio is interested in remaking Drop Dead Fred which originally featured Rik Mayall. The name most likely to replace him in the remake is Russell Brand....
Hadn't heard about this one. Hope they do it justice with a decent director and please no cgi. The man in a rubber suit looked far better.

If Russell Brand is in it, i'll be avoiding it like the plague. Can't stand the fella.

I've read that Alien 5 will be a prequel to the first film. Whether it will involve the derelict ship or not isn't clear.

I've ALWAYS wondered about that ship ..where did it come from etc etc.
We've seen a tiny clip featuring the Predator home world in AVP Requiem, but what about the Alien homeworld?

**EDIT X 2..whilst googling the Goonie cast I was gobsmacked .....I NEVER knew Mikey (the lead kid in the Goonies) was the fella who played Samwise Gamgee (Frodo's travelling companion in the Lord of the Rings three movies) . Now I look at him of course its obvious!!

            Tron2 could be interesting

            Mad Max yeh!!

            BUT

The Untouchables...no way, leave untouched; do not spoil the memory of an utterly fantastic film (the scene at the end on the station staircase is unforgettable)
So did EVERYONE ELSE know that about Mikey/Samwise then?

              I did.

Also Elijah Wood was one of the kids in the 1980s Nostalga Cafe in Back To The Future II.

I'm not really a fan but i've gotta admit he did a fine job playing The Riddler. The rest of it was pants apart from the Holy rusty metal joke.

and Erika Eleniak in E.T. Even more obscure, Helen Hunt playing George Segal's daughter in Rollercoaster (1977).

Here's one - Patsy Kensit in Hanover Street (1979).
Except I didn't know her birthday, all I knew was she's older than me.

'So where's Kensit then? And who's the midg... What the...?'
