Our family always watched Christmas Vacation every Christmas Eve . Now the kids have grown up they have carried on with the tradition

    I prefer Bad Santa nowadays

Santa Claus the Movie. I can still imagine myself at the local Odeon watching it with 50 other people just before Christmas in 1985.

    Re: Favourite christmas movie

My Christmas film viewing window is quite narrow. I don't usually get in a Christmas mood until a few days before the big day and it ends on the day itself. Now that I don't have any little ones to watch them with, I don't watch many Christmas films these days. I do like National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, which is probably my favourite traditional festive film. However, my favourite films set at Christmas but not Christmas films are 'Don't open till Christmas' and 'Trancers'.

you say u have seen many of these for the first time.
is that because u normally are not off over christmas for so long.
She loved Home alone 1 and 2 and I ended up having to buy her Elf after she saw it on tv. Most of the ones i've seen first time are aimed at children like Jack Frost, Elf, Disney's A Christmas carol. I probably wouldn't have watched them had we not had a little un. I tend to go for the more adult themed films like National lampoons xmas vacation and Christmas with the Kranks. Still got some to watch before the holiday season is over. Not seen Scrooged all the way through yet. Got woke up at 8.30 on xmas morn by my 13 year old nephew so started watchin it until everyone arose. I'll also watch Holiday Inn, Muppet xmas carol and first plays for It's a wonderful life and Polar express on blu-ray.

Not really a christmas program but I remember it being on over a christmas period back in the 70's.The talking parcel. It was an animated film.Apart from that the only other films that says christmas to me is scrooge and The lion, the witch, and the wardrobe.Love those magical childrens films.

Not yet seen Holiday Inn or Scrooged but have to say my favourite so far has been Disney's A Christmas Carol. Animation is similar to that of Polar express and I loved it.
