I think the ITC produced adventure series from the 60s had some stonking good title tunes: Department S, The Baron, The Champions, Strange Report etc...all memorable and catchy.

Into the 70s and tunes like The Sweeney, Black Beauty, Follyfoot, Timeslip, UFO...again, all memorable.

All the old western series, esp' Rawhide, bronco, Bonanza, Laramie. Then the kids show Banana splits, and for those old enough to remember the Dr Kildare theme "three stars will shine tonight".
Who can forget when Saturday morning tv was worth watching the legendary Tiswas, opening credits and theme, brilliant.
