kids programme from the 60's or 70's

I've have been trying to find out what this programme was called for years, the main character was called paulus and he was always getting chased by the witch who lived in the woods. the theme tune went "paulus the little man, thats all i can remember does anyone remember this or am i just crazy.

The witch's name was Eucalypta (She was obviously Australian.No,just kidding))
