help - name the 70s childrens xmas drama

Help

There was program on every christmas (mid to late 70s) about a boy who befriended an alien but i cant remember the name of it.
I think the alien wore lots of webbing and it was set at christmas and there was lots of snow. (all i can remember was the two of them trying to walk through the snow)

I think it was either canadian or scandinavian (it had that euro dubbed kids drama feel to it).
