European Comedy Drama - Shown on BBC2 early 1990s.

I remember a drama that was on BBC2 in the early 1990s on Friday nights.

By the look of it, it was set in the Alps during the early 20th Century.

The style of it made me think it was made in the 1960's - early 1970s. It was shot on film & colours were very glossy.

It always seemed to be on before The Power & The Glory.

The end titles were in the form of a slide show, with the stills moving in & out of shot like they were in a slide projector.

If anyone can help me out with this please let me know.

Clochemerle sounds just like what I was looking for.

Before the recent Eurocrime runs on BBC4 I couldn't think of too many other Non-English language adult programmes to be shown here.

The "Supersoap" boom of the mid 1980s lead to Black Forrest Clinc & Dancing Days find their way over here.
