I did read somewhere that one of the American networks rejected it before another picked it up.

I used to watch it off & on when it was on Channel 4.

I used to like the The Cosby Show. It seems dated now.

Ditto - I couldn't watch it now as Family Guy did some great bits on Bill Cosby making his weird noises all the time....lol

Loved the first 4 or 5 seasons of Cosby Show but it got a bit silly towards the end I thought. I bought season 3 on dvd a few years ago and it seemed very dated! Some shows stand the test of time but sadly this one hasn't imo.
            Heaven knows I'm miserable now.

in the last 3 seasons bledsoe and bonets characters got married maybe this is why you did like it so much also raven symone came into it.

but i do still like it and for me at least its as good as erver and has stood the test of time.

we still get it shown over here on rte.

It's interesting that it didn't get rerun while lots of other American sitcoms seemed to be shown in a big loop.

yes i know what you mean.
and as its a big show in its time id have expected it to be shown more often.

although its normally channel 4 that shows it.
channel 4 i think was the first channel to show it.

but perhaps the british channes did not want to show it.

It's almost worth a thread about popular shows that either seem to be re-run a lot, or forgotten about within a few years.
