This is really bugging me now, can anybody help. I think this tv drama or series was in the 80s, and It was basically about a prisoner who was trying to prove his innocence. I remember that he was on a ship with the guard and a woman and child, they got shipwrecked and this prisoner helped them all on the island, the guard was useless, he befriended the woman and child, and was promised a pardon if and when they returned home or survived. He built a raft and got back home, the woman died of some sort of fever and the little girl couldnt remember all the things he done for them on the island. So the guard went back on his word and did not pardon him, so thats it really. All through the tv series he was trying to get the girl whos a young woman now to remember, She married the guard and he took all the glory and said it was him who done all the things on the island, Please can somebody help me with this as its really annoying me, it was a good series and i think it run on for about 3 months or less, im not sure.
