Topo Gigio?

Anyone remember a mouse, puppet character, think he was on a saturday night called Topo Gigio? I had the figure/doll of him, long ago.

i am new to this site and i notice that you posted this request some time ago, but i remember Topo Gigio!

as a very small child my mum would make me pretend to walk Topo Gigio along the pavement to get me to move along faster.

i loved him

if you go you ebay, they have a massive range of plush toys on sale, apparently he is very popular in South America.

Here is a vintage Topo Gigio doll from the Ed Sullivan show of the 1960's and70's. Topo is plastic and stands 10 1/2" tall. He is wearing a pair of striped pants that say "Ernie Engineer" on a plastic button. He is in great condition, just some paint rubbed off his nose and cheeks. He was made by Huron Products Co.

are you selling that Topo Gigio i remember my brother carrying it around all the time and it broke and he has been looking for one for about 15 years!

I have heard of the name from looking at 1960s TV schedules - wasn't it someone who was a magician or something?

Devised in Italy in the late 50s, Topo was popular across europe throughout the 60s and is still loved in Italy today. He (it) also made an appearance on the Ed sullivan show
