Spooky 80s show that I can't remember--- Please help!

    Spooky 80s show that I can't remember--- Please help!

    OK, I used to watch a kids TV show in the 80s that only 2 other peple remember!

    I can't remember any useful information, just a series of images.

    - 2 kids live by water, probably a lake.
    - They find some tunnels under the water.
    - There is strands of stuff in the tunnels.
    - Red/green Gems are significant, some kind of power is in them
    - Some kind of creatures live in the tunnels. The creatures are people with slime on them, must have been short of special effects cash!!
    - the creatures were evil, naturally
    - I think it was an Australian show

    Well, thats the best I can do. Please, someone prove I'm not imagining things!

      Unfortunately not, although I remember that one well.

      Nope, this program was MUCH spookier than Round the Twist.

      One update, there may have been people coming out if the sea covered in seaweed...

          I live in the US and I think it may have been on Nickelodeon. The word Dark keeps coming to mind when I try thinking of the title but I could be completely off on that. Well, thats the best I can do. Please, someone prove I'm not Crazy!
