It was from a Twilight Zoney show (it might have been the Twilight Zone.....)..
In the episode a guy is told by an angel(???) to keep hold of his possessions if he wants to become wealthy.
This obsession ostracises him from everyone, until (near the end) he's driving round in his dirty and dusty 30's car with all the things he's collected over his adult life..
At a petrol station a woman sees an old jug, and offers him 'thirty' for it... The man, by now thinking the 'angel' has well and truly shafted him, accepts...
Except it's a very rare and extremely valuable Toby jug, and the woman is offering thirty thousand....
The man then has his possessions appraised, and (after it's all sold, and he's become very wealthy) appreciates the money now he's finally got it..
(Or something like that.... it's probably been 20 years since I saw it)...
