Years ago on SBS here in Australia there was a kids'teens drama series set in the past.I remember a lot of countryside,mountains etc.
It could have been greek,italian or maybe eastern european.It was definitely foreign and subtitled,anyhow.
I am pretty sure the word "mountain" was in the title but i guess it could have been "valley"
my thought was that the title was "Children of mysterious mountain; or Children of the mysterious valley" but i have searched and not bveen able to find it.
By the way,it is NOT the aussie show" Secret valley" and nor is it "Children of Fire Mountain."
This was definitely foreign.
I doubt anybody will kniow it but it's been bugging me for ages.

can you remember any cast member from it Al.

Can you remember what year the show was from how many series there was.

i originally thought it was the tribe but when you said it was not australian i knew i was wrong.

can you remember the theme tune and the opening credits.

anyhow i will do a search.

I think it was made in the 80s or early 90s..All i remember was that it was set in the past=the kids/teens did not wear modern clothing and it was definitely foreign.SBS shows mostly foreign films and tv series
I guess i will have to email SBS but they have not beenvery helpful in the past.

it WAS indeed called Children Of The Mysterious Valley ("I ragazzi della valle misteriosa" (1984)).A 10 part series made in Italy in 1984.
Appears to be available on dvd but in german without english subs.
