    Doogie Howser, M.D. is a U.S television comedy/drama starring Neil Patrick Harris as a teenage doctor who also faces the problems of being a normal teenager.

    Created by Steven Bochco and David E. Kelley, ABC aired the show from 1989 to 1993 for four seasons Wwith a total of 97 episodes.

    it ran from september 19th 1989 to march 24th 1993.

    episodes lasted from between 21 to 23 mins.


    the series begins on howsers 16th birthday.
    the cold open of the pilot episode shows him stopping his field test for his drivers license to help an injured person at the scene of a traffic accident.

    Howser is a resident surgeon at Eastman Medical Center in Los Angeles, and still lives at home with his parents.

    His best friend and neighbor, Vinnie Delpino max cassella is a more typical teenager—climbing through Howser's bedroom window to visit—and connects him to life outside medicine.
    Howser keeps a diary on his computer, the episodes typically end with him making an entry into it.

          Didn't DHMD used to keep a computer diary of each episode's events?

            i can just remember this show so fresh in my memiory.

              I remember the main details, after the first run it moved to a later timeslot that was close to my bedtime.

                I remember James B. Sikking who played the Dad in "Doogie Howser" from "Hill Street Blues."
