  • Trying to name a Monster movie.

    Hi All,

I usually get some great answers on here when I post trying to remember stuff, so here goes again!

Ok, this time it's a film I'm trying to recall. I think it's from the mid/late 70s and was on general release at the pictures. I think it featured some kind of sea monster or something (maybe an octopus), but one scene that really sticks with me (and I don't know how accurate this description will be), is when there are couple of mums with kids talking near a cliff top(!?), and they have push chairs or buggies. Then in the next shot (I think a bus or something goes by to cut the camera shot), a child's buggy is floating in the sea! I don't remember much more, just been scared to death by this image of a floating child's buggy, knowing that a sea monster had eaten it.

    Wish I could remember more...

    Thanks!

I remember seeing this at the cinema. One of the post Jaws bandwaggon. I think Shelly Winters was in it. I'll check on IMDB.

Just watched the youtube clip and noticed the cast listing underneath. Apart from remembering Shelly Winters, the only part I could remember was the toddler being taken. I'd love to see the whole film again.

never seen this film but going but this scene it will be very good.

i can see why this scene is so memorable to you.
              its quite shocking.

the film itself looks quite dark and atmospheric.

and yes its an octopus mate.
