Hello, does anyone remember Maggie from the early 80's set in scotland cant find anything on it, also gem which i think was about sewing machinists or something.

Yes, I remember it well- there was one episode when she tried to top herself by taking an overdose. She also appeared on BBC1's 'The Adventure Game', set on another planet.

I remember "Gems" was on Thursday afternoons and I had a bit of a crush on one of the characters, the girl that started at the bottom and worked her way up, mind you it was rubbish. Got a bit of a minor cult following with the jobless (well it was the early/mid 80's). The lad who sold sandwicheshad the acting capabilities of Mrs Overall.
