The Funky Phantom is a Saturday morning cartoon, produced for Hanna-Barbera Productions by Australian production company, Air Programs International in 1971 for ABC.

Similar to Hanna-Barbera's successful Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, The Funky Phantom featured three teenagers — Skip, April and Augie — and their dog Elmo. While trying to get out of a storm when driving the Looney Duney, they entered an old house where the longcase clock was wrong. Upon setting the clock to midnight, it released two ghosts: a Revolutionary War-era ghost named Jonathan Wellington "Mudsy" Muddlemore and his cat, Boo. The two stumbled upon two Redcoats and ended up hiding inside the clock during the Revolutionary War, but then couldn't get out and eventually died inside. Ever since being freed by their new friends, Mudsy and Boo have accompanied them on many mysteries, always giving an invisible helping hand.

I used to love batfink !! Used to quote him in various silly playground games : "you're bullets cannot harm me, my wings are like a shield if steel !!"

    Other faves for me were:

    Danger mouse (he's the greatest)

Hong Kong fuey (i loved him getting changed in the chest of drawers).

Has to be Astro Boy - a brilliant example of early anime. Also liked the Fred Quimby Tom and Jerrys, but the later versions were rubbish.

You're probably thinking of the short-lived Micro-Ventures. I think it only ran for four or five installments.

There was a game for the Commodore 64 called Cliffhanger which was a lot like a Roadrunner cartoon.

    Anyone remember this?

Loved it back in the day.

Some odd american things, most I dislike but these had the horror element so kept me watching,Early Scooby Doo,Groovy Ghouls and I have a feeling the Drac pack had a very short run.The things that stick out were the cartoons that started to filter from Japan like Marine boy,The adventures of Kum Kum the stoneage boy and one that the americans butchered,Battle of the planets. Also have a thing for Dangermouse.
