Do not forget, unbelievable as this sounds, the Radio Times did not list other channels until the 1980s, as they were not allowed, so no use for programmes before then.

Same with the TV times, I remember it was a big thing when the rules were relaxed.

Take into account that ITV companies were semi-regional so one ITV company could be showing a completely different programme from another and so on back in the 1960s and 70s. The differences only started to reduce in the mid 1980s and had largely disappeared apart from local news by the late 1990s.
