Oh yes i remember watching that episode live (when it actually aired on the 17th in autumn september of 1990) i believe that was the second episode of pigsty ever!! but do you recall the first episode that aired monday 10th september 1990.

That episode you mentioned has the pig in the
middle song which troy boy and Roxanne sing i believe. also do you recall a garbage pizza segment? im unsure if it was on purpose or sabotage but little pig messes up the pizzas and puts leaves and garbage on a pizza.

Also i remember the chipmunks too! and i believe it was bucky o hare the green rabbit space defender?? (i completely forgot what its called) i cant remember too much but i liked that too! i also remember quick draw mcgraw was mondays too! the cartoons would bore me on CBBC when id wait for programmes to actually start.

When they stopped showing pigsty on CBBC i was quite disappointed at the time i do remember watching the last episode of series 1 on bonfire night (the CBBC awards) please tell me you remember the CBBC awards. i remember trying to make artwork for the broom cupboard i think i made like a pigsty picture of the logo and a pigs head.. Who knows where it would be now but im happy the show still gets briefly mentioned now and then.

sorry to keep asking about pigsty but i have some more questions.

its a shame that not many episodes are not on youtube theres only like 3 episodes. but as i mentioned i did watch the show quite alot when i was much younger presumably when i was roughly 8-10 years old at the time and i remember some of the plots. some of them were outrageous for a childrens show.. but do you remember anything else obscure or anything else about pigsty. i would also like to ask do you remember a character called Princess Sophie of San Marino apparently the pigs were trying to hide M.T from her if im correct or maybe that was a different episode but he was semi naked. i had completely forgotten about that to be honest but my memory is rubbish about pigsty all i could tell you is that i remember watching the chipmunks before pigsty and then after that it was the hero turtles (teenage mutant ninja turtles as of now) around 3-4pm on a monday.. but i do remember pigsty rerunning in 1991-1992?? they showed older episodes again but unfortunately i did not tape them as of then and actually i did tape some pigsty back in the day but due to poor storage my tapes would no longer play sadly. but the only place where you can find some episodes is the BFI or tvbrain-kaleidoscope archives i think its called..

id really appreciate it if you do want to discuss some more pigsty bits.

That phone detail really paints the picture — I remember MT had some transparent phones in his office too, like see-through with colours inside. He definitely had some weird gadgets lying around that matched his whole flashy boss vibe. Or yuppie or whatever he claims to be..

If you remember anything else — even little odd details — I’d love to hear it. I’ve also been collecting clips and bits from the show on my channel, in case anything there sparks more memories. but did you remember anything else about M.T being “uncle porky” did troyboy or pinks say anything about that? or did they go along with it.. i actually never knew that happened in pigsty i watched quite a lot when i was younger but even those details slipped my mind.

Really appreciate you taking the time to chat about it!

That’s amazing — Uncle Porky with a pig mask sounds interesting! I’ve never heard that detail before. It must’ve been such a funny moment with him trying to impress the kids like that.

Do you remember how the kids reacted? Or what else happened in that episode? That one sounds like it had a lot going on.

Thanks again — every bit you remember is helping build a better picture of the show!

PS: Also do you remember the live and kicking clip they used; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4osoQjygDo
and was Arnold the binman in more episodes or just two as far as I remember it was two but please correct me..

I’ve seen the few episodes that are on YouTube, but it’s so interesting to hear about the ones you remember — especially Nut & Bolt, the oven/ice cream idea, and the kids visiting the cafe. Those all sound like great plots for Pigsty

Do you remember anything more about those episodes? Like what Nut & Bolt looked like or how the staff tried to entertain the kids? I’d love to hear anything you recall. As I run a channel called pigsty archives anything helps!!!

Also, do you happen to remember an episode where a Sanitary Inspector visits The Pigsty? That one’s still missing and I’ve been curious about it for a while. And an episode featuring Ainsley Harriot which I believe is the guests kids episode you mentioned.

Thanks again for sharing what you remember — it's a huge help!

P.S do you remember this episode????: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7fdKgJOzEk
I'm sure this is the episode with the important guests' kids...

It’s great to know someone else remembers the characters too — especially Little Pig running the café, that fits him perfectly.

Do you happen to have any episodes yourself? Or do you know anyone who might have recorded them back then? I’m trying to track down as much as possible, even old VHS recordings.

Cafe's seemed to be popular locations in the 1990s, Why Don't You used one for a couple of years & Pigsty was one at a recording studio.
