I remember it was on of a few shows that Philip Schofield used to sing along to the theme.

You could even write into CBBC for a lyric sheet.

i heard somewhere there was meant to be 51 eoisodes but the company who did it had some issues fnancially or something

First I know about the series originally supposed to be 51 episodes long. I do know there were legal issues with the show as a piece of music was deliberately taken from The Empire Strikes Back and used in the show's soundtrack. The makers had to pay Lucasfilm some money to continue using the music track in the show.

Cant say i can think of that bit of music you mean mate.

Still with 26 episodes it was superb wonderful show it has a wonderful atmosphere.
Quite scary.

I had the entire series on VHS tape - recorded off TV - back in the 1990s. I now have it on DVD.

It's where I first learned ancient Greek mythology from! When my year in primary school did the Greeks and Romans I tried to relate historical events to episodes of Ulysses 31. None of the other kids in the school had even heard of Ulysses 31. Was it ever shown on any of the satellite channels?

All eps are on yt.

I was only six when it came out but i saw it around the 89 90 for the first time.
It was shown on rte an irish channel i was so blown away by it.

Ive never known of it to be shown on the satellite channels.

Its why i love it as there are many references to greek mythology you also have a story based on the great flood as well.

The soundtrack is truly fantastic really gives me goosebumps.

I remember one of the digital channels like Jetix repeated about 10 years ago, when I was living with my parents I started flicking through the cable channels one night & found it was on.
