She-Ra should have been great... They had some really good writers working on the show but they played it far too safe and went for too strong a cutesy/comical approach instead of going down the dark and violent route... So there were a few great episodes but overall the show didn't even come near the standards of He-Man.

Knots landing spin off from dallas.

It ran longer than dallas from 79 to 93.

From what i saw of knots landing i did think it pretty good.

For me it worked was a success.

Knotts Landing didn't have a good showing over hear, it didn't do well in prime time, moved to a daytime slot & then taken off or moved round the schedules any time there was a live event.

Points Of View had a lot of letters complaining about this.

What about the Stargate franchise does that count ?

Stargate Atlantis was good, very good.
            Stargate Universe was boring.

Preferred it to the original series.

Soaps have a good sideline in spin offs. Corrie has had two spin offs into sitcom, successful at the time but largely forgotten now. The first was the Arthur Lowe character Leonard Swindley who left the cobbles to star in his own sitcom Pardon The Expression, which itself received a further spin off when Swindley returned in a short lived sitcom entitled Turn out the Lights, before Lowe moved on to Dad's Army.

The second was more my era and a fave of mine growing up; The Brother's McGregor, a sitcom borne out of two scouse characters who attended Eddie Yeats' stag do at the Rovers. You can read about both shows here - http://coronationstreet.wikia.com/wi...thers_McGregor and http://coronationstreet.wikia.com/wi...the_Expression

                      Knight rider 2008 2009.

Never came close to the eighties original.

Tuckers luck spin off from grange hill never worked either.

They had david hasselhoff in the first episode if i remember right.

The car just looked very different very bulky.

I knew it would not work and it didnt.

I was too young to watch Tucker's Luck but seeing clips it seemed quite "Brookside Lite" at times, not surprising considering Phil Redmond created both series.
