Can't remember the name of this show

Basically a kids show, it was a stock motion show/puppets, the characters were either mice or rabbits can't remember. There was an episode one was scared to sleep because they thought they saw a monster but in the end it was the moon shining on a trees that was a shadow not a monster.

I deffo remember seeing a kid's show where they thought the shadow of a tree in the window was a monster, can't remember if it was stop-motion animated or not though.

How far back are we talking?

The BBC's Rag, Tag and Bobtail featured puppets of a mouse, hedgehog and rabbit, but that was in the 60's (although re-released on Watch With Mother video in the 80s).

I think it was between late 80s/90s

That sounds like the kind of thing that might have happened in The Moomins. That was stop-motion animated with felt puppets.
