Kids TV drama set in Norfolk?

Does anyone remember a kids TV comedy drama set in Norfolk in the mid 80s (I think)

I can't remember much of the story except a girl has to move there or stays for a summer.

During the girls stay her and a friend use a pin to write on marrows so that when they grew they had words on them.

Would this ring any bells with anyone?

I remember something with writing on marrows, but can't remember what. It might have been a story on Jackanory.
