Sticky back plastic anyone?
I made a Thunderbird island for my little boy but theirs was pants so I made him a custom version using wood and plaster of Paris and bought all the necessities from the local model train shop
It took ages and looked spectacular BUT it weighed about 5 stone

Re: Blue peter HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Speaking of BP presenters, I met Richard Bacon in 1998 just a couple of months before that "scandal" of course. I was into celebrity autographs back then and as he was opening a new shop up, I thought that I would get his autograph in person - he such a great bloke.
I am so glad that he had recovered from the life-threatening illness that he had earlier on in the year, and was pleased to see him on the Eugenie and Jack Royal Wedding programme last Friday.I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
I'm having so much fun
My lucky number's one
Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!

Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.

Re: Blue peter HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I have always been an on/off fan - but it has had an amazing run for 60 years, no doubts
At times I thought it may get the chop, nut it really vecame a great rescource to show kids how to make stuff as well as topical advebtures and topical happenings
Programmes like Newround and Why Don't You owew Blue Peter a great devt I think - as without BP the would not of existed
Happy Birthday Blue Peter

Re: Blue peter HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Nice to see Blue Peter reach it's 60's.Well done that program.
What I like about it.......it's as English as you can get and twee(quaint), and we love it.
The program could also be fairly hard and they did not tip toe around anything. A good example is when they reported on a death of a blue peter animal or the vandalised Blue peter Garden. In a way Blue Peter taught us more then one valuable lesson about life.
