flying bird cartoon

im going to be quite confusing with this one, all i remember is a flying type of stalk, which was always followed by a small flying inset possobly a mossy,
it was a 80s cartoon,
quite funny the stalk was a bit dumb
any ideas?

Hi bumble not sure if you have cable t.v but a kids channel called Boomerang ,has just started showing this again,along with the Pink Panther, kept my two good for an hour this afternoon.
