I think the hotel burnt down

The building used for Fawlty Towers was the club house of Wooburn Grange Country Club in Buckinghamshire.

It burnt down in 1991 and the land was redeveloped.

Went to portmerion a few years back, a privately owned village in north wales which was the filming location for 60s cult tv show The prisoner...beautiful place

I went there a few years ago & enjoyed it, but it was before I had really seen the show.

I loved the show The Prisoner. I've always wanted to go to Portmerion but it never materialised. I will go perhaps next year.

I went to Malta a few years ago where we visited the purpose built Popeye village, location for the Robin williams film "Popeye".....which was awful

...My wife and i did the granada studios tour shortly before this desecration, such a shame to allow something that has been part of the british psyche for 60 years to simply be destroyed like this
