Re: Iconic Tv moments
Catchphrase
The Snake Charmer round, where Mr Chips appears to be committing a lewd act, but when all the squares were removed it was perfectly innocent.
Countdown has had a few good moments, but normally they seem to leave out rounds with rude words.Leave a comment:

Iconic Tv moments
Anyone recall any stand out iconic tv moments from the past that they seen as they were broadcast. Some things have obviously been repeated on those channel 4 top 100 shows but these are etched in my memory as I seen them first point
Blue peter;
Simon Groom commenting on Durham Cathedrals “wonderful pair of knockers”
Saturday Superstore ;
Matt Bianco being told they were a bunch of w**k*rs on a phone in
SwapShop
Keith chegwin live in some town somewhere and a kid in the background looking over to his right , must have seen himself in a monitor, and constantly giving the 2 fingered salute
Junior Kickstart
some poor contestant ending up in a ditch and the marshalls who were trying to assist him kept falling in too, Peter Purves apologising for laughing at the situation
Tiswas
Phil oakey getting his shirt ripped off him , he didn’t look happy
TGI Friday
Sean Ryder singing pretty vacant and Chris Evans repeatedly apologising after the performance.
most of these can be seen of YouTube, obviously taken from recordings of it’ll be alright on the night, but the canned laughter does seem to spoil the clips
