Anyone old enough to remember Catweazle? I dont remember much about it now, memory is fading, but do for sure remember that I loved it. Must look it up.
I remember it well, he had a toad called 'Touchwood' called elctricity 'electrickery' thought cars were dragons and the boy who was his sidekick was called Gareth but he called him 'carott'. He lived in an abandoned water tower in the woods. I have an annual somewhere with my sister over there in the UK, if she hasn't remembered it is in the loft and ebayed it!
I remember watching 2 progs in the 70's..I've never seen them since, & always assumed they were episodes from 'Tales Of The Unexpected'....not so it turns out!....
a couple, trapped in their house by thousands of killer rats..you never see the rats, just HEAR them gnawing , scratching, squeaking
2nd was a creature/poltergeist in a supermarket....
Then, I bought DVD 'Beasts' by Nigel Kneale (of Dr Who fame) and found these episodes again (6 in all) after all these years.....
the rats one stayed with me in partic all these years

You can get both series' of Catweazle from Network DVD. Like Daz I never really liked it that much back in the day but I really enjoyed watching them again a few months back.
Now I just need some episodes of The Golden Shot to watch beforehand

When me and my sisters were kids, (before we were allowed out on our own!), we used to watch the 'wrestling' with our dad on a Saturday afternoon - does anyone remember 'Big Daddy' and 'Giant Haystacks'. You wouldn't see that sort of body on WWF now would you!!!
We also used to watch Hart to Hart, Dempsey & Makepeace, Morecombe & Wise, Dick Emery, loads more but can't think of them right now.
who remembers the 70's cartoon Calamero, about a wee black chick or was it yellow, it had half an eggshell as a hat and was always, its nota fare, i think it was French.
I remember both of these, I think a courting couple in a car outside the house were the first to be killed by the rats, you just hear them screaming, creepy, the one with the ghost in the supermarket had Pauline Quirk in it, I think, and was the ghost not a tiny dog that is in the freezer and only she can see it
